CHURCH NOTICES
Recent Funeral: we continue our prayers for the repose of the soul of Donnie MacNeil (of Barra & Glasgow) who was laid to rest on the island last Thursday (21st Nov). The Funeral Mass took place in St. Brendan’s Craigston and thereafter Donnie was laid to rest in Cuithir Cemetery. Donnie passed away aged only 36. Our heartfelt prayers go to Donnie’s parents and to his partner and to his brothers and all the cousins and relatives and his many friends. Donnie was well loved and highly thought of by everyone. Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

The Sunday Newsletters from the 1st December will have the new translation of the Readings & Psalms on them-so we will see for ourselves the changes in translation.
Vote against Assisted Suicide Bill: on Friday 29th November there will be a vote in Parliament in regard “Assisted Suicide Bill”. The Catholic Church is against this Bill. Our nation stands on the brink of a major change in how we treat human life, particularly the lives of the most vulnerable. It is vital that this “Assisted Suicide Bill” is defeated. MP’s from Scotland will have the opportunity to vote on the Bill. There are postcards which have been produced to be sent to every MP. All you have to do is take a postcard and put our MP’s name- which is TORCUIL CRICHTON on it and sign the postcard with your address. Put a stamp on the postcard and it will be sent to the House of Commons in London. Please urgently take a postcard.
