The first online meeting is Monday 5th October. Let us pray that the online discussions will bear fruit for the Diocese.
Wedding: Congratulations to Ally MacInnes & Anna Ferguson MacLean who were married in Our Lady Star of the Sea in Castlebay on Saturday 3rd October. May the Lord Jesus bless Ally & Anna and their family with joy, peace, love and happiness. Congratulations to Mr & Mrs MacInnes.
Sacrament Forms: Canon John Paul has left Sacrament forms with the schools for parents to fill in if their child is due for First Confession/Communion Classes or the Sacrament of Confirmation. If parents could fill in the forms and pass on to the School so that we can start to plan classes and look at possible dates for the sacraments.
Blessing of the new Statue of St. Barr: Canon John Paul wishes to thank again everyone who made the celebration of the Blessing of the new statue of St Barr such a great success. It was a wonderul happy celebration for our island community. So much hard work went on behind the scenes and it certainly paid off. Thank you to our singers, choir and musicians. Thank you to Castlebay School and Eoligarry School for their singing and also for their lovely artwork. We now have a beautiful bronze statue of St. Barr in the bay of Northbay for all the world to see. This beautful moment for our island can once again reignite our love to serve the Lord just as St Barr did. May St Barr guide and protect us and all our families and parishes.
Church Heating in Eoligarry Church: Canon John Paul has been looking into getting new “air to air” source heating for Eoligarry Church. Canon John Paul has been now given a quote of £8400 on new 2 air to air source heating units. Also these units will be sprayed with a Northsea coating to prevent rust and corrosion. If anyone wishes to help with any donations toward the costs they can do a bank transfer to Northbay parish. RC DCESE OF ARGYLL & THE ISLES NORTHBAY Account No: 65628061 Sort Code: 83-91-25
