Recent Funeral: we pray for the repose of the soul of John Henry of Ledaig who passed away on Wednesday 17th June at his home in Ledaig. John was 86. John and his wife Wendy have been coming to Barra for the last 45 years. We extend our prayers of love and sympathy to Wendy and all the family at this sad time. John’s Requiem Mass took place on Saturday 20th June in St. Brendan’s Church in Craigston and thereafter John was laid to rest in Cuithir Cemetery.  Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

Day for Life Letter & Collection: this weekend we listen to a Letter in support of “Day for Life” and  we will take up a second collection for “Day for Life”. The Church always highlights the important teaching on the sanctity of all life. From the unborn child to the elderly- respecting the sanctity of all life. Life is very precious and we do all we can to respect the sanctity of life.

SAMH funeral Collection: at the moment over £2000 was collected at the recent funeral of Daniel MacLean  to help support the charity SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health). Many thanks for your kind support.
