On Sunday 15th March which is SCIAF SUNDAY, the 5 teens will aim to complete 60Km in 60 minuties by combining cycling, running and swimming-working together as a team. It’s called the 60 for 60 Challenge! Scott & Robbie & Rowan Campbell along with Lewis & Ross Irving will do their best to raise money for SCIAF. There are sponsorship forms in the Post office and Buth Buidsear- also forms in Castlebay & Northbay Church- also you can go online to a JUST GIVING page “Barra Teens 60 for 60 Challenge for SCIAF. St. Barr’s Statue: as you will have seen last week the old Statue of St.Barr which has been standing on the wee island out in the bay of Northbay for the last 50 years has been taken down. We are now preparing the wee island for the new statue which will hopefully be ready soon. So lots of preparations going on behind the scenes to get everything ready to get the new statue in place.

Northbay Church scaffolding: the reason we have scaffolding up around the Church bell tower is that we have taken out the inside parts of the bell (clapper & crownstaple) as they were broken and have been sent down to England so that we can we get replacements made and then it will be placed back into the bell so that the church bell can be rung again for many more years !

Parish 200 Club: Canon John Paul wishes to thank everyone who has joined up again for the Parish 200 club. Many thanks also to Mary Sarah Campbell for “pulling it all together”. The draw for the months of January, February and March will be made after the Craigston Vigil Mass this weekend. The names of the Winners will be put into the “Guth Bharraidh” .
