Craigston Vigil Mass: Next Saturday (11th April) the Vigil Mass will be at 6.00pm for the rest of the year.

Gift Aid Envelopes: are available for collection in the churches. If you pay tax and would like to give your Sunday collection as Gift Aid then please speak with Canon John Paul. A quick form to fill in and then you are allocated an envelope number!

Parish QR Codes: Canon John Paul is aware that not everybody carries cash nowadays especially when they go to church and cannot put anything into the collection plate. Many like to pay for things on their phone and use QR codes to give to various charities. Lots of Churches now use QR Codes to help people give to their parish. Canon John Paul has managed to get QR Codes from the Diocese for Castlebay Parish and one for Northbay parish. The QR codes will be up placed on parish notice boards and also left in the porches of all 5 of our churches. There will also be small leaflets that people can take home with them or they can pass onto someone that woul like to give to the parish online.

Scottish Bishops letters: in the church are 2 letters from the Catholic Bishops of Scotland. The first is about helping us in our decision of voting at the Scottish Election on 7th May. The other letter is asking all parishes to reflect on possible changes to structrues of the church in Scotland. Please pick them up and read them.

Recent Baptism: we warmly welcome into the family of the Church Freddie Morrison who was baptised in St. Barr’s Northbay on Satuday 21st March. We wish Freddie every blessing of health, joy and happiness and every blessing upon his parents Iain Ruaraidh & Amy and upon the Godparents.

Fr Donald MacLeod: this week we have Fr Donald coming to visit the island. He flies in on Thursday 9th April for a week and will look afer next weekend’s Masses. He will stay in Castlebay chapel house. It’s always nice to have Fr Donald on the island and its a good chance for him to catch up with family on the island.

Canon John Paul: will take a break next weekend when Fr Donald arrives on Thursday.
