CHURCH NOTICES

4th Sunday of Advent: today is the 24th December and it is also the 4th Sunday of Advent and we are still obliged to go to Sunday Mass to celebrate the 4th Sunday of Advent. There will be the Vigil Mass on Saturday (23rd Dec) at 4.00pm in Craigston. However please note that there WILL ONLY BE ONE Mass today and it will be at 11.30am in Castlebay. There will be NO 9.30am Mass in Northbay today. The reason for this is so that Canon John Paul will be able to prepare for the Christmas Eve Masses.

Weekday Mass: from Tuesday to Friday this week the weekday Masses will be at 12 Noon.

Community Carol service: On Thursday 28th December at 3.00pm there will be the annual Community Carol Service in Northbay Hall. The invitation is open to everyone. Come along and help keep the festive cheer going with singing some favourite carols with a glass of mulled wine & a mince pie or three.

Church cleaning & Christmas Decorations: Canon John Paul wishes to thank everyone who has helped decorate our Churches for Christmas. Moran Taing! They all look very beautiful. Why not take the time to go round all five churches and say a prayer before the crib in each church.

Recent Baptism: we warmly welcome into the family of the Church Douglas Scott Eames who was baptised on Tuesday 19th December in Our Lady Star of the Sea in Castlebay. We wish Douglas every health, joy and happiness and every blessing upon his parents and Godparents.

Thrift Shop donation: Canon John Paul wishes to thank the Thrift Shop for their kind donation of £200 for our parishes at this Christmas time. The money will be used for Christmas flowers and flower displays in the Churches. Moran Taing!

Canon John Paul wishes everyone a very happy and holy Christmas.

May the blessings of the Lord Jesus at Christmas be with you and all your loved ones at this holy time. Nollaig Chridheil dhuibh uile!
